Same here. Mine is the Cruise Cam Short Bar Mount.
Works great...though it won't work with a racing seat and isn't helpful to the OP who wants to mount to a roll bar.

Have you considered Craven's tow hook mount?
I've never even seen one in person but I'm curious to know how it works. I'm guessing you're after in-car video though. -

I mount the camera in my hand.:cornut:

I'm interested in this also. I purchased a Go Pro, motorsports edition, a few months ago. I have only used it on track once so far. I used the suction cup mount to attach it low on the windshield, just above the dash. The results were pretty good, but I am interested in alternatives for mounting further back in the cabin in order to get a good car/track view with a view of the driver, all in one shot. I have seen some of the headrest adaptations, but I have a Recaro Sportster driver seat which doesn't have the headrest post like in the stock version. Suggestions?

I use a GoPro usually with the suction mount. I have the tow hook mount but have not put any of the videos from that on utube.

I use a headrest mount. Can bE found online for about $40-60. Uses standard scew hole you find on most cameras. Gives a near perfect driver's view. Here is a sample:

I got a Go Pro before this year's Dragon. I used the suction cup mount to mount it inside under the mirror. I bought the Naked along with the suction cup mount, figured I wouldn't use the other mounts included with the Motosports package.
It worked great...followed the instructions for mounting it upside down and the video is crystal clear.
While at the Dragon I saw the tow hook mount, but didn't buy one. Nervous about putting that much money that close to the road.
I'm satisfied with the suction cup mount, but want to buy one of the roll bar mounts for the wife's cabrio.
All in all, very happy with the whole set up! -

I made my own mount, very similar to the cruise cam, it worked better on my R53 than on my R56..........the windshield/dash/rearview mirror relationship is different somehow on the R56, and the mirror seems to dominate my vids. Still, it's a very convenient location and if you want you can turn it around and shoot out the back too.
Here's an example..........you don't have to watch the whole thing :biggrin5:

Yes, that's a "Justa" with a CVT in front of me on the outlap. -
Steve, that link didn't work--here is one for the "Eye of Mine" rollbar mount I'm looking at with a pdf for installation; it's gotten good reviews by people who have bought them (the mount offered by GoPro unfortunately hasn't).

Yup, that's the same one.
Looks very simple which is usually best. Good articulation as long as you can adjust/swivel where the L-bracket attaches to the bar clamp. If not, seems like you'd have trouble leveling the camera/image if mounted on a diagonal bar. I imagine you can, just wondering given the way they specify orientation of that joint in those instructions.
I like the "Tighten everything really well And re-tighten throughout the event. We suggest you tape the wing-nuts in place." They must have seen some vibration-induced issues.
