That car isn't mine, but belongs to a fellow club member. I doubt he'll ever sell it, he's having way too much fun with it! It was built from a shell by Mini Tec, and has a D series Vtec in it, he's had it for about 4 years and every time he drives it he gets the giggles! This thread has a video of our track day at Heartland Park last Wed, Don ran a bunch of laps right in front of me if you'd like to see it go. http://www.motoringalliance.com/forums/track-days-hpde-s/12743-heartland-park-apr-11-2012-a.html#axzz1sLrGsiDb
I think that's the truck I just sent the owner a message about. Didn't realize it was a V-tech. Awesome!
Yes it does, as a matter of fact. It's a little street in Amador City. The sign is a real deal from there, given to my Dad 30 years or so ago, as a gift from the Mayor. We had long time ties to that little city for 50+ years and this is a tribute to my Dad and all the family who've left us from that very cool little area of the Gold Country. It is a pretty funny name though... Thanks for noticing. :beer
Thanks. With two newly opened up holes, I'm on the hunt to fill at least one of 'em with a classic...
This is what I have to work with, outside of work. This is also the only car to ever be in this garage, thanks to its size. At the moment it is much neater. I was just in there cutting out some nasty panels.
No garage should have its own website, but I recently made one for mine: The 12-Gauge Garage Here are some more pictures of my two-car garage. There's no Mini in it (although I've rented them for track days), but I thought you guys might enjoy it. I did all the work myself, including setting the tile and digging the pit for the lift. I started it during the Writers Guild strike in 2007 and only recently have started calling it 'finished.' Work benches that fold down from the wall: And it's got its own a video: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHqixjMXAbo]The 12-Gauge Garage Video[/ame] And yes, a video just about the lift I put in: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6Y-iRs4Egc]My Garage Lift[/ame] Is it always this clean? No. Not by a long shot. But it does go back to clean very quickly -- that's the real accomplishment of it, I think. I finally took the time to work out a place for everything to go when It's not being used. In practice, it makes a huge difference not having to spend so much time looking for things you've misplaced. I spent years doing that.
Awesome job on your garage! Which lift is that? Looks like the perfect lift for my needs as well... Also looks like you're here in CA. I'd love to come and see this place first hand sometime.
