My MINI sleeps in a carport next to the house. The garage is about 150 ft from the house and looks like a hardware store exploded in a British car restoration shop, I'm embarrassed to photograph it! Dave
Not sure, but I may have already posted this elsewhere... Had one of these in my garage a few weeks back. My buddy's new GP2, #73.
So my son showed me how to use the panorama feature on my 4s one morning, a couple months ago. Little did my wife know, she got busted counting cars.... I've warned her before. The black car now resides in SoCal.
:cornut: Check my MA garage to see my real garage which is a carport. The photos of Margi are under the car port. Jason
Mine gets used quite a bit.....but the rest of the time it looks pretty much like this, with my wife's Audi in the left side...
My neighbors wood shop. I lost my big shop when we moved into our condo. Having small cars makes the garage seem larger.
:cornut: It's happening to us pretty soon. Margi's(Lady Margi not MINI Margi) plan is to sell the big house and move into one side of our duplex. Life goes on. Jason
Warning!!! Old Fart content..... I don't mind living in our condo at all Jason. Went from a 110 year old house that always had something to repair into a 6 year old condo that someone else repairs. Pretty sweet deal for Babs & I. The only thing I miss is the shop space, but what we have is very workable. After going through moving our parents who would not move when the time was right for them, we decided to do it while we could make the decisions for ourselves. We are both very happy here in the old fart home. :goaljnky
Here's my shop. It will never get confused with Jack Olsen's Garage Mahal, but I've tried to squeeze as much utility as I can out of the small space I have. Starting from right to left on the panorama shot, we have the breaker box covered up by the new EZ Car Lift. The creeper and drill for the lift are right below the chemical shelf where brake fluid, carb cleaner, brake cleaner and similar things can be found. The store bought shelf holds car cleaners and waxes. The orange cabinet holds A/C gauges and a few parts that I have bought along with an assortment of light bulbs and fuses. Atop the orange cabinet is a gallon of carb dip, paint, stain, and primer. The next brown shelf holds lubricants (Kroil, silicone spray, cutting oil, various spray cans of paint, and a propane torch and solder. The wooden shelves further down hold jack stands overflow chemicals, and a battery tender. The back wall has shelves with seldom used power tools such as Roto Zip, saber saw, and a big Dremel type tool kit, snap ring plier kit, a ton of screws, nails, and electrical connectors. To the left of the garage bay is my reloading bench. My daddy and I built it in the spring of 1986 before he passed in August. The bench and shelves above it hold reloading tools and components. Just to the left of the bench is an 80 gallon two stage air compressor, and to the left of it is a somewhat overbuilt shelf for lead shot and bullets. The disassembled engine crane is atop it. The antique hall tree is being stored until I can give it to my retired aunt. It's been in our family since before the Civil War. Above and to the left of the hall tree is Mr Heater. As you can see, there is a junked up craft table and various lawn implements. Storage shelving take up the whole left hand wall and the front wall. On the left of the shot is a tool box. There is another tool box hidden from view behind it. The red hoses snaking throughout the shop supply compressed air to about 20 quick connects spread throughout any area where compressed air might be handy to have. There is an air conditioner in the back wall, and 4 box fans used as ceiling fans. This ain't much of a hangout or a man cave, but it's about as good of a shop as I can squeeze into 20' deep and 24' wide. Rawhyde PS I'm kind of ashamed of the clutter and if I ever get the right lottery numbers, I'[ll post the newer upgraded version of the shop!
Thats not too shabby at all. Wait till you see mine. Its a damn mess and I dont even have a tiny fraction of the car stuff you have in yours. Maybe one day when Im not a poor first time homeowner Ill have a cool garage, but unless I get me some lottery winnings fast it wont be any time soon.
