Thanks...removing the bumper cover may be my new excuse for upgrading my intercooler...I mean, while the bumper cover is off....and, you know it would be a good time to......I should make sure the stock intercooler didn't get any hairline cracks with the impact.....better safe than sorry....you know, while the bumper cover is off :biggrin5::biggrin5:

Sorry, guys. But driving around Atlanta where the trucks are thick and having to deal with dodging them, their debris, and watching them run inches off the car in front of them, knowing they will kill whoever is driving the car if the brakes have to be used, they get very little sympathy from me.

The highways around here are littered with blown out tires from the big rigs, and while I respect what they do, I have lost a lot of respect for them after having to share the highways with them over the past 22 years... They aren't the same guys who used to be so helpful and polite that they were back in the 70's.

Sorry to hear about your bumper Mark, but glad Aaron is taking care of you. Also happy to hear it was just the bumper...Yeah I have been beside a Truck when a tire blows and it sounds like a damn bomb going off...luckily I have come out mostly unscathed.

Nearly bit one myself yesterday. A dump truck entering 270 had a tire flying apart. I stayed way back and missed it, but it was close. I'd never seen one come apart in front of me.

Why to take a negative and turn it into a positive.

Aaron is a great resource. We are lucky to have him here, for now.

I have bought several things thru Outmotoring.
The quality of the parts is A+ and the service has always been great.

I wish! He drove on ...I pulled over, checked my pants for stains, and surveyed the damage.

Glad you're OK. You were looking for an excuse to upgrade and now you have it. ;-)

Isn't it wonderful that they can destroy your stuff with no fear of being held responsible? Bass terds. :mad5:

Glad you are OK and you are getting some coolio stuff out of it. I love that JCW front end... Maybe I can tear mine up and get one of those... Hmmm. :ihih:

It is possible that the drive did not know his tire when blamo.

Glad you are OK, sorry about your MINI Mark. That stepped intercooler should ease the pain a bit.

It is his/her job to know. Especially considering the consequences for not knowing...

When you have 18 wheels one can blow and you would not notice it. I would rather have the trucker looking in front of themselves over having them looking back for retreds all day.

Glad you didn't get hurt Mark, I had one blow right next to me and the presure dented my door. Lucky for me Honda door cards pop right out and a little presure on the back side popped the dent back to normal.

Yes it is, but if you have ever driven a big rig you might understand how that could happen.

There are some good drivers out there, but I feel the majority of them are like you describe. I always keep my distance & expect the unexpected.
