Hear that! I haven't found a single situation where the driving line agrees with what works! I still keep it turned on in every event, because it helps me recognize where I am on the circuit. _Dave_
Yea....I have found a couple of things that Forza did way better....the driving/braking line and the cars AI. Polyphony really needs to see how they put that together.
Interesting... It's not listed as "GT5 Bible" in the mobile version of the app store, but is listed as "GT5 cars and Tracks"... Also requires iOS 4.2, which I haven't done to my phone yet. The blurb in the App store promises that car images will be included in a free update later on... Could be interesting. Saw several other GT5 apps, but none really seemed useful or worthwhile. _Dave_
So having reached level 33 and golded all events except the endurance, I decided to kill time and do B spec. My B spec driver is now up to level 33 also and he/they are running the enduro events at night. B spec turned out much easier then A. For one, you don't have to drive. Two, you already have all the cars and hopefully you have them tuned. And three, you can cheat and use the Red Bull car in most events. I actually had to watch the B spec driver in only a hand full of events and only long enough to get them in P1 after which they would just hang on on their own. Won some pretty cool cars along the way, too.
Geez.....I haven't played it in a couple of weeks now. Guess I should wipe the dust off and get back in the seat.
So I finally won the Historic race......and w/o the GT40! I just RM'ed my Dodge Challenger and maxed out the parts. Was some great racing. That dam Toyota is a real killer!
So....finally got back into playing this and finished the Vettel challenge. Damn that was brutal. Got bronze on all of them...didn't feel like hammering out a silver race-pace as yet.
So I just saw this thread over on M|U and thought you guys might be interested. Was told they would love to have a few more guys. Sounds like fun. [ame=http://www.motoringunderground.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21820]M|U GT5 Weekly Races - Tuesday Nights - motoring|underground[/ame]
Congrats on Vettel... That car is a BLAST to drive when you're not worried about staying on the track! Nordschlieffe in under 3 mins! The M|U weekly race looks interesting, but I just got my Fanatec GT2 wheel, and it's inop out of the box, so I'll be waiting at least until I get that resolved... Have been enjoying the single-player seasonal events with big payoffs! I love using the racing soft tires when there''s no concerns about wear! Have managed to get to level 35, and have been accruing cars like nobody's bidness. Hope to someday reach level 40, so I can buy me that ORANGE X2010 car for 20 million creds... _Dave_
I got one too... As well as a VW W12 whatchamacallit, the 20 million credit Ferrari, the Suzuki Pikes Peak Escudio thingy, and a bunch of other cool cars... Tried a few things tonight to get my Fanatec wheel working... Looks promising. Did you guys do the M|U race tonight? _Dave_
If any of you west coasters want to practice before then I could be available around 10 p.m. on any given day.
Be sure to log in to Gran Turismo 5 in the next couple of days to get your free Vettel Edition Red Bull X2010 fantasy formula car! Then use it in the special Red Bull Suzuka Seasonal Online Time Trial event to get a quick 5 million credits! This is Polyphony Digital's way of celebrating Vettel's 2nd World Championship. Expires later this week... _Dave_
