Very early on Nov 21 the site was down from about 3.30 AM CT to about 7.45 AM CT. This was a comedy of errors. A process that creates a site map every night that is then sent to Google, Yahoo and Bing was stuck. While it normally takes about 30 seconds this one took almost 24 hours. That ended up looping over and over again and took up all the processor time. While that was going the host was working in the Data Center and accidentally broke a physical connection that monitors the server to make sure it is running properly. When the process above took down the box they had no idea. Fortunately this happened during the least trafficked time for the site. Once notified the host recycled the server and fixed the monitoring in about 10 min. I know almost no one noticed this but I feel I need to be transparent with these issues.
...this old fart early bird noticed it was down but considering the attention that you give to making everything great I just waited until it was back up. Thanks for caring. That's another reason we are here.
Nathan.... I guarantee you..... lots of us noticed. I hit M/A before I feed the dog in the morning. Thanks for keeping the boat afloat.
Yep, me too. I had to head off Sunday morning without my M/A fix, but all was well when I returned. Good job. Jim
Like he said, low traffic time, just us old farts with nothing better to do at 0:darkthirty:lol: Mark
