Did the M/A Responsive to M/A swap on IE then did the same with Chrome. On Chrome I saved the link to the favorites file then selected it. Immediately Norton blocked a virus attack. There's something about Chrome and M/A on this particular machine that somebody doesn't like. No issues with any of the other saved links. The name of the virus is 'Fake Scan Webpage 7'. Looks like Chrome is headed for the pits for the time being.
I had this issue on my iPad. I cleared all the web date restarted it then turned off the cell network and used wifi and it worked fine. I have had no problem on my iPhone or Mac BookPro.
Think I found the odd links. They were in this post http://www.motoringalliance.com/forums/362010-post12127.html Took one to a Yahoo branded Flickr page. I'm not sure if this is due to Flickr adding stuff to the image address or not. Off to test.
K. About 30-60 min ago I couldn't even get to the site. it did the whole ww2. thing and wouldn't load at all. I gave up and came back just now. All is now good in the hood. But still what the heck?!
I also could not access the site today from early morning until just now. It was ww2 thing and I would get virus alerts. Very very strange going ons to say the least. I should add that these problems were on my iPad and also on my iPhone 6.
I had the same thing happening and am glad to see it working again. I can also get on again via Tapatalk, which is my primary method for viewing the site and uploading links/pictures. Will miss it when it goes away.
I'm digging. This is particularly thorny as I'm not finding much to go on. Having a lot of difficulty repeating the issue.
Sometimes site-redirects and the like are due to some nasty JavaScript embedded in an advertisement. The owner of the ad doesn't know it exists, as it gets injected by middlemen ad brokers. Really hard to track down, as the bad ad rotates, and probably has gone through multiple brokers before being sold to the end user.
If you have any screenshots when this happens that could also assist. Any info as far as the page you were on can help chase it down.
Happened this afternoon on my android phone, sent me to: ww2.motoringalliance.com Redirect to: youforgottorenewyourhosting.com/motoringalliance Redirect to: An internet direct company, efaucets.com came up a couple of times. Did this with my favorites link and when typing direct into the address bar. And now the efaucets add is at the bottom of my page.
