Yesterday finally forced me to put the all seasons back on. I really need to consider something with a little better traction. Have to keep an eye out for used winter tires this summer. I would have taken the Suburban out but it had to go in the shop yesterday. Great timing!
Dark Helmet stayed in his warm garage although I did open the door so he could enjoy looking at the snow I'm going to be forced to get the Countryman out into the mess this morning to run some errands. Glad to hear that we are going to get a couple of dry days before the next round hits us here.....This is the first year I understand why Silverbacks go south for the winter and temporarily become Snowbirds!
Took an hour to chip Skooby out of the ice block it was trapped in. Once free the Blizzak's are working great. Snow tires FTW!
After shoveling the driveway yesterday afternoon, I convinced M.A.D. that I deserved to be taken out to dinner. She said that since I enjoy driving in the snow that I had to drive. After a couple of handbrake turns through the Meijer parking lot, she said she would drive the next time!
Just ordered some Blizzak's from Discount Tire. 215/45-17. I have a feeling I will need them this winter and I was just lucky last year there wasn't much in the way of snow.
No snow tires on our CM and it performed brilliantly over the Blue Mountain where others were in the ditch.
Sorry my first post didn't properly show my snow pic. I fixed it and now it shows the true glory of Minis in the snow playing.
Nathan I take the Enkei PF01's light wheels w/ Star Specs off in the fall and run Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus on my boat anchor R90's for the winter.
The CountryGiant will be making a trek to the land of EastTonne later on today.... Rumors of lightweight aluminum cylinders will be carried in the ba-boot-ski....
Another snow day... Discount Tire just called me too, the Snow Tires are mounted on the butt ugly wheels that were dropped off there. Don't think I'll be driving over there today.
