how do I put it. If I want to be cold (car is from NZ) and if I want rust then yes I would drive it in the snow. I do have other cars for every occasion. If you can't drive a different car each day of the week then that's just sad.

Those wheels really are perfect for a Mini. BRG with gold Minilights is a little peice of heaven.

Chuck do you have snows for the not a MG?

I replaced the Hakka's on my wife's Skooby with Blizzak WS70 tires. The MINI's Hakka 2's were replaced with Pirelli snow controls. I got the Pirelli's at a fire sale price, but if I had it to do again I would buy something else. They are justa OK.

Those 12 inch tires will mount very easy on your 10 inch wheels. You will have trouble keeping the air in.

    Just add duck tape.

So after all the debate I left my summers on and now have a weekend plan of dropping the kids off with grandma and tearing up some back roads. Since the weather is going to be nice it will be mostly tarmac with a few choice gravel roads, my initial plan was to switch those and spend more time on the rocks.

Plus my high school's football team is undefeated and taking on their (also undefeated) rivals tonight so Digs is getting an introduction to high stakes high school football tonight. Neither team is able to play in state tournement so this will be their title game.

Home after a great game, my team won and Mel Blount's son had three touchdowns. It is nice to be taller, bigger, and faster than your opponents. The other team did have one good player I think he broke 3 runs over 60 yards, but they were very one dimensional. I forgot how much I like high school football.

For sure. My Civic Si looks a lot better now too! Considering I had to get rims and tires because back in the day 14" were huge wheels. LOL.

If anyone cares to see, here it is!

My thought is as long as the temp stays below 70 then I think they are fine. Just don't drive too aggressively. ;-)

Yuppes! Even give great traction in the rain, just not to stop in it too quickly.

Oh and they totally help with short wheel base cars that don't have the best traction and stability control. They keep that boot in place!!!

I believe once one drives in a snow storm on real winter tires they are hooked for life. I know I am, winter tires FTW.

I've never seen the steel bands in my tires. Maybe I'm doing something wrong Jan.

Yesterday I had the Blizzak's installed on Babs Skooby. Bring on the snow!

Just got in from installing my Pirelli snow controls. Man are they skinny compared to the Eagle GT's I took off.

Interesting fact my 205-50-16 tires are wider than the 215-60-16 tires I took off Skooby. Chunky buggers for sure.

Quick Auto Express video on the benefits of winter tires not only in the snow but in the cold as well...most people forget about what happens to summer tires in cold temps.
