Over the next few weeks work is sending me to Santa Clara, CA. and Puerto Rico. I can handle 6 inches of snow for a few days:lol:. They did a good job of clearing last nights snowfall here, well for me anyway, as most of the locals stayed home, I got to work in my normal time Mark
We dodged the bullet last night. They were calling for 4 to 5 inches and we just got a dusting, that wasn't really measurable, but it is heading back into the low 20's again. :cryin: Jim
-2* this am, snow forcast for tonight, tomorrow, and sunday, tapering off on Monday. Couldn't get the Clubby all the way up the driveway, even with a run at it, and I'm not allowed to shovel snow.....but other than that it gets around just fine. And we always have the Audi if it gets really bad, so at least we're not housebound. But yes, I am now officially tired of winter..:frown5: I think from now on I'm going to plan a 2 week vacay to someplace warm for mid January. Maybe breaking it up will make the next 2 months of cold not seem so long. It's when you add them to the 3 we've already had that it starts to get me down....
Make sure you go far enough south to find the warmth, I went to Florida right after Christmas and it was colder there than it was here at home...
We got 4-5"...took the dog for a walk in the middle of it all at a park out in the country. He enjoyed sniffing and leaving his mark all over, and while I loved driving thru the snow, all I can really say is that I'm glad I have Blizzaks on the MINI. With them on the car, driving has been a piece of cake this Winter. I like snow [and a lot of it] in the Winter...it's the ice storms and freezing rain that I cannot stand.
Not sure I could stand the mid-west cold anymore. We get 4 or 5 inches, then sun with 50 degrees. Melts it pretty quick. :arf: Islands sound good right about now, PR, St. Barts or Hawaii. Need to puts some Blizzaks on Scooter, he is becoming garage bound. Don
The local weather guesser's are saying our February is going to be worse than January. My MINI is no longer a color, just cammo salt & I'm starting to lust after WRX's. I think I see a glacier moving south toward the house.
Want a good laugh? Picture 8 degrees, everything a solid sheet of ice and the wife and I trying to push a 400 pound round bale up the hill to the side paddock this morning. :cornut: Jim
Today one of my favorite local micro brews is having their Cabin fever event. $25 and you can sample all you want:beer. Some of those 12% beers are in order, as the event takes place outside Mark
Now who in their right mind could I have asked to go out there and take the picture? Oh, Crashton, would you...........:cornut: Jim
