My wife had a friend give her a power wheelchair that they were not using anymore. I had already got her a scooter (4 wheels) so I had the batteries replaced cleaned it up a gave it to a another of her friends. My good deed for the day.

I had planned on staying home Monday night, but had to run to the pharmacy here in town for an emergency supply of anti stroke Eliquis...just as the snowstorm was dumping 2+" per hour. The pharmacy is 8 miles from my house, over and back, plus the wait to get the order and took me about 3 hours to get back home on unplowed roads. When I got to my unplowed street, I couldn't see where the edges were so I straddles what I thought was the center of the road for about a mile. Wouldn't you know it...just before the turn was a COP having, I guess, a donut break...I mean, WTF was he even doing there, parked and with the engine running? He musta choked on those donuts when he saw my S moving slowly past him as I "saluted" with my window cracked open for him to see me.

Man I don’t know how you guys do it. I mean the snow is pretty but down here we are just not prepared for this much of it! Even if you can drive in it we have an over abundance of village idiots that can’t! Tomorrow I am scheduled to fly to Knoxville and back. I know we will never get out and if I do get off the ground no telling where I will end up!
Oh well let it snow let it snow let it snow.

    Heading in to work.
1-2” of snow so far and 6-9” more
    expected.
Hoping for an early close so I don’t
return to an impassable road and/or
digging myself back into curbside parking
(no garage, no driveway where I live).
Much better than a big swath of the
country, so I’m grateful for that.

The older I get the less I like snow. Heck I used to love the snow & get out in it as much as I could. How times have changed.

Snow isn't hard to deal with if you have the right mindset. Trouble is many people don't. The village idiots we have are in their 4wd SUV's who think they are immune from the laws of physics & common sense. Love seeing them in the ditches.

Safe travels Lee. Slow & steady will get you through.

It snowed here over the weekend, about 8". Then it warmed up and rained. It is almost all gone now. Temperatures are in the forties.

I am surprised how well my 2 wheel drive truck has done so far. I just bought some tires that are mostly street but can handle some mud. I have even been able to get up my drive with it. When I first went out in it my neighbor with a 4x4 said call when you get back I want to see you make it up the drive. The ELSD works well. This is my back yard.

We have not gotten much snow in the last 2-3 years, but, since I am from NE Ohio where snow in the wintertime is an every day occurrence, I have ALWAYS had a set of snow tires on hand for my S, even though I now live in west central OH, near the OH/IN line. Last year I ditched my worn out Blizzaks and bought some 16" NEXENS...not as good as the Blizzaks, but worlds better than other brands out there [and a lot easier on the wallet, too].

    Getcha some of those, Lee!

The numbnuts tearing down the house next to us cut our fiber connection for internet/TV/phone. They didn't just pull it up... they CHOSE to cut the line, thinking that if the pole is on the SHARED property line, any wires coming down it must be for their house only. Luckily AT&T gave me a next-day appointment and we are now re-connected to the world.

I have 2 sets...one for snow]ice and the other for the rest of the year [Neo Gens]. The Neo Gens are perfect for Dragon slaying and did well on the track when I used to go there, but I'm too old for that anymore.

I just turned 75..have a-fib, a heart murmur and eyesight problems which are presently corrected by a specially ground eyeglass lens to keep my left eye from going whacko and giving me quadruple vision.

Hell your not that old. I'll be 78 next month. I'm in a little better shape I take a pill for cholesterol (last time it was 163) but that's it.

My heart is ok and the Eliquis keeps me out of harm's way, but the eyes keep shifting my vision around. Hopefully, the new lens will keep me in the driver's seat, because I love driving my S so much in any weather. Gone are the track days [Mid Ohio and Putnam Park with BMW CCA], though. Hopefully, MOTD will come back before I croak [I just received word today that it has been cancelled due to the virus spread in NC].

Yes I'd like to go to MOTD, but I think it might be a little to far to drive. Hope anything works out with your eyes. My track days are spent at Thunder Hill and several other tracks like Laguna seca , but it's been a while. Besides it drive me crazy when someone gets in front of me.

I'm a proud member of the Old Fart's Club, Lee. I have the sticker on the back of my S to prove it.
