Heading in to work.
1-2” of snow so far and 6-9” more
expected.
Hoping for an early close so I don’t
return to an impassable road and/or
digging myself back into curbside parking
(no garage, no driveway where I live).
Much better than a big swath of the
country, so I’m grateful for that.

Got my second Covid-19 vaccine shot today...so far, so good.
I did well today, after getting the vaccine. Tonite, I felt tired and went to bed for a few hours...got up just now and my arm hurts like hell, so I'm taking the recommended dosage of Tylenol and heading back to bed. We'll see what tomorrow brings, but I'm STILL glad I got the shot.-

I got my 2nd Moderna shot a week or so past, hit me hard for 3 days, now good to go.
As for what I did today, had lunch with Mark an old RMVR race buddy, we used to trailer his Spitfire vintage racer and I trailered my 67 Alfa Romeo GT to the tracks out here in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and to some of the events in Arizone and California (Phoenix, Palm Springs with Vara). He continues to drive a hot Datsun 510, I stopped long ago, but I do like track days for those with a little bit of need for speed. His plan is Road Amerca, and Austin for a nice vintage race or two, perhaps 2 or 3 at HPR here in Colorado. All he needs is to sort an electrical problem that has been a pisser for this past season. We discussed at lunch, which is a nice way to spend a good hour or so.
I took the 20 Clubby JCW to lunch, nice short drive, dry roads 37 degrees, tires are the runflats summer bricks for sure. Need to up my game before a real track day.
So tonight we are looking for 5 to 8 inches of new snow after 2 days in the 50s, today in the high 30s, sigh! Come on Spring time, it almost March.
Take care, mask up.

the dog for his walk, and get some groceries before my next dosage later today.
I'm sure glad I have had no chills or headaches.-

Had my employee review today. Manager gave me very good ratings in everything. Then I told her I was retiring later this year. I'm not eligible for COVID vaccine until June. We're running a bit behind in Canada.

I know this might not mean anything but years ago when I worked at a car dealership and had an in with the shop. A friend of mine balanced my tires while they where still on the car. I have never had a better balance wheel and tire set up. This was back in the 80's with old bias ply, but I never had to balance them again until they where worn out. The only trouble was you can rotate them because he balanced the wheels tires and brake rotors at the same time. It did require someone who new what they were doing.

Well, I took the afternoon watching the new shower glass being installed on new shower. We did a rather expensive master remodel on our bedroom and master bath. So I hope we can get some of the cost back in 10 years or so when we toddle off to our retirement center or old folks home.
If you are wondering labor cost was 22K, material etc. etc. was cost plus. Colorado is not a cheap place to live. Now I have to watch out for the property tax increase.
All in all, nice luxury bath, happy wife, it is all that counts. I got my 20 JCW Clubby so both of us are happy.

It was 3 stories. The main floor they sold all kind of lawnmower parts. The top floor they had all the motorcycles that they had when they quit selling them. That’s where the Indian he gave me was stored. The basement was a CD shelter. It still had government food from the 50’s or 60’s.. had to be ready for the nukes! The rest of it had all sorts of stuff. Their Father started the company in the 30’s I believe they sold motorcycles and Schwinn bicycles. They were friends with the Schwinn family. Latter they added all sorts of stuff appliances, TV and such but motorcycles and bikes were the main stay
