Got up early to shoot one last car for Worldwide's Houston Auction. I live so close to the owner that I tried to fit it into my schedule about four times, but something always pulled the rug out of that. Besides, it was just a Ferrari 348 Spyder -- a 100K car, at best. Not a high priority.
But, this thing was like a time capsule. 1990 F348, a 26 year-old car, with 3,000 miles! It got a big-time "WOW" out of me.
Old school Ferrari gated shifter -- no F1 gearbox to spend 30K maintaining. Perfect interior. Slow by today's standards, but a great driver for a nice, sunny day. It looks and sounds like a Ferrari, so I cold easily forgive the performance if the price is right.
I love surprises... well, the good ones.

We had my granddaughter overnight. Took her to a movie and we went swimming in a heated pool. It's like a big bath tub at 91 degrees. I am going to take her home in Pepper--WOOHOO.

Technically not today, but yesterday.
Bitter sweet day. It started out pretty bad. Sarah's Aunt, after struggling with cancer for the past 7 months finally lost her fight. It was extremely aggressive and everywhere. Its a good thing though. She had been in pain for far too long. We will be at her memoriam service this Wednesday. She was a great lady and like a 2nd mother to my wife Sarah.
Then later that day Sarah and I closed on our first home. We have been renting for far too long. We're very happy to start getting equity in a home rather than throwing away money every month!
Tonight we're going to head over the Mississippi toward the Chicago area to visit some family for Easter. Going to take the northern route for a better driving timeI hope everyone has a great Easter weekend! I'm ready for the weather to warm up a little.

Pulled the MINI out of the garage today and washed it, treated my new windshield and applied a nice thin coat of BFWD paint sealent.
Maybe this week I will get out my Summer wheels and glass coat them with a new product kamikaze Miyabi coating. I have used it on my car by adding 2 layers plus one layer of Kamikazi ISM coat. This product is like CQ Quartz but stronger and will soon be replacing wax.
Don't get me wrong you shill have to wash, clay, cut and polish your paint before you apply this coating. This is not like Nufinish so it is not magic in a bottle, but it does bead bird droppings so they cannot etch your paint.
