Doing a Wisconsin style Friday Night Fish Fry in GA tonight Prepping some walleye and haddock for the feast! Hope these southern fries are ready for some northern goodness.
Today I am fixing a burst pipe in my garage. It burst this winter, but I just closed it off. Now it is warm enough to wash my MINI, and I need water
Today work catered in lunch. Carlos O'Kellys. Our dealership was awarded the Presidents award so they picked today of all days to have Mexi-Irish? It was good. Funny thing is my mother wanted to go to a local Mexican restaurant tonight for her birthday. Instead of green beer, I will be having a margarita in a green glass. My Irish great-great-great-grandparents would be proud
Well, for starters, I had a great traditional Irish lunch with my son. Then, I did a little mod on my Classic Mini... adding a VBAC grille badge. Then, we went to graphic design sign shop, where we brainstormed some decals for the race car trailer. All in all, a great day of father/son bonding.
Let's see, yesterday I made the 9 hour round trip to take my daughter to PA to check out a grad school. Oh, then when we got home we adopted a puppy at the humane society. He's a companion for our lonely senior schnauzer. He does bring energy to the house. He needs a good Irish name since he is a St. Patty's adoption. So far the front runner is Finnegan.
Last night, I drove to the airport to pick up my sister, who's visiting from NYC. She had originally told me she would be flying in on Friday night (tonight), so that was quite the surprise... Since my sister is in town, my parents came up as well. So now the three of them are hanging out at my house...while I'm at work. :confused5: Also - I'm craving a donut. A big, crispy-on-the-outside-but-soft-and-warm-on-the-inside apple fritter. Sigh.
This morning, I went to Huber Restorations in Tulsa, watched a team of pros get a 1955 Porsche Pre-A Speedster, that is a few weeks short of being done with its restoration, get put together enough for me to photograph for an auction catalog. 9:30AM... Around Noon... I did almost the same thing yesterday, photographing a couple of 356 Cabs... And, I got paid for it.
Kind'a mediocre today... Picked up my new Ruger LCR, worked on the race car trailer, solved a few issues with my son's race truck, visited some friends at my old Battalion HQ station, ate some great Mexican food for dinner and closed out the night buying concert tickets for Jason Bonham and The Led Zeppelin Experience. All this while helping my wife go about her day on her crutches.
Nothing, watching the 11 inches of new snow melt, it should be 50 on Sunday, get to go shoot on the evening match, that should be fun.
Had a good time this weekend with my Eastern Iowa MINI peeps. The wife and I picked out paint and flooring for our new place. Hopefully should be done in a few weeks. We're anxious to get the move over with.
Up to my fourth cup of coffee. Getting ready to head out for another round of PT and trying to decide where to stop for lunch. So many decisions... retirement is tough! Beautiful day though, so I'm taking the Mini.
