Got my Aero front bumper back from the painter. it is all together and ready to install but I am not cutting brake ducts in 10" of snow so it will have to wait a week or 2 till I install it.
My wife also got me a little remote control Mini that you can actually drive on windows and walls! (has a little vacuum in the bottom of it)

Nothing exactly car related - but she got us a pretty high end Sony Blu-ray player, and one of the features of it is that it will play from a USB connection, which means rather than connecting to the laptop to play Top Gear that I download from M/A, I can save them to an 8gig thumbdrive, then plug that directly in to the player.....at least I think I can.
-
You can test that out later this evening with the TG Christmas Special that is now airing on the BBC. Look for it later today here on M/A.

A pretty cool Where's the Stig? book (analogous to Where's Waldo) that my daughter purchased online from a source in the UK. Each page has a theme based on a Top Gear episode from the past two seasons. Not only can one seek the Stig, but also the ghost of the black Stig, Jeremy, James, Richard, jars of Stig Jam, a Bugatti Veyron, and a gazillion other fun things related to past episodes. Oh, and one other thing...upon close inspection there are a few R-rated items hiding in the pages too...certainly not something you'd see in a Waldo book!

I have one of it driving on our window. I'll get a pic up tomorrow. Bed time now.

My setup is in a large, extremely heavy cabinet that I cannot move, which makes it really tough to plug stuff in in the back! -

Wow what a great sign Mark. I love it!!!

Since you yet to have a garage to hang it in I'll gladly store it in mine for you. :ihih: -
It's coming late but the wife is getting me a Helix FMIC. Gotta love it when your significant other is as crazy about MINI's as you are.

I got a nice, quiet day. No one expected me anywhere, no calls, the doorbell didn't ring. Exactly what I wanted! Well, it did snow a bit, but you can't have everything.
-
Sounds exactly like my day...I would have liked the snow though.

Steve AdministratorStaff Member Articles ModeratorI'm over it...snow, that is. Grew up in it and the thrill was gone while I was still a kid. Now it just makes me think of the hassles it will cause me. That's not quite true. I don't mind watching snow while its falling as it can be beautiful, but I don't need the inconvenience of it hanging around.
A bit Grinchy, eh? I think my anti-snow attitude comes mostly from the fact we got plenty of snow and ice each year when I was growing up and my Dad figured he didn't need proper removal equipment if he had two kids.....
Never mind, getting off topic. Like I said I got a great, calm, stress- and relative-free day...with a few albino brain chiggers.

Scratching your head over the albino brain chiggers bit? Let's call that an inside joke for fans of 3rd Rock from the Sun.
