And I so much prefer doing it myself, because I know I'll get the torques correct, get the pan fully drained, won't slop oil on the block, will put in the right oil, won't scratch the body with my belt buckle or keychain, etc., etc. I even hate it when the dealer does the scheduled freebies.
Anyone care to guess how I feel about valet parking? :frown2:

You wait until the oil change light comes on of course. Then you wait some more & ***** at the dealer when they try to say you need a new engine.
What the heck ***** is caught by the swear filter. Well damn female dog in heat then. -
5K oil, filter and rotate tires.
A horrororor story: My father-in-law, GRHS, was a traveling salesman for a school supply co. He got a fresh Fairlane wagon every couple of years for his road car. He puffed out his chest and bragged to me once that he never changes the oil, just adds as it is needed. He'd put 2 to 300K on one of those things before it was traded in. I can't imagine... -
I'm another one that changes every 5,000 miles

Here are some royal waves being generated....

Every 5k. The rotation goes, Dealer oil change when the car says, then I change it 5k after that. Also, I bought one of those oil pump's to suck the old oil out the dip stick tube and I'm never going back to the old way of changing oil

I'm a 5,000 mile earl changer. My biggest worry is wearing out the drain plug. -

Every 7500 for my MINI and the Jeep is once a year or every 5000.

As I have a '07 MINI and I'm not the original owner, it likes to use oil. I change mine every 3,500-5,000 miles. I also add LiquiMoly every other oil change for good measure. I'll measure my tires each time and rotate as needed. In Spring I start adding in BG44k to the fuel to help clean the combustion chambers a bit. I do that for about 4 fill ups. And every 15k I perform my own walnut shell blasting.
Can never be too careful with a '07 R56. -

Once a year or every 10k, just like MINI says to do, had my valve cover off at 50K and it was clean as brandy new in there. 62K on it now.....
However, I am only driving about 5-6K a year now...... -

Every 3k because oil gets dirty faster when spraying meth.

I only drive about 5K miles a year also. I usually change the oil at the end of May on the anniversary of my buying the MINI.
