Ouch. For as many drivers and passengers flopping around all over the place, I'm amazed at the number of people who were able to walk away...though I'm guessing those in the fire didn't fare so well. :frown5:
:cornut: Where could I find a mint condition 1970 car and a time machine to get me back to 1970. Jason (the Wayback Machine Mr Peabody)
Slightly off topic, but this has to be the cutest 'ring vid ever. I just love when she squeals: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Kc87QHrTCdM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
It's the guy at 4:13 who's car is being righted by the crowd, as he's hanging out the shattered remains of his windshield that gets me. And the number of people thrown "safely" from the car. Also I think there was a Morris Marina or two in there. I kept expecting pianos to fall on them.
So you think you want to drive the 'Ring I had the chance to take 4 laps back in '77 while stationed at Fulda,West Germany in my "78 model John Player Special German spec. Ford Capri II with 2.8 V-6. Was a hairy experience! The track was much faster than I thought I was, and although it would hit 125mph. when your being passed in a curve by a BMW 2002TII made me realize these folks drive a lot faster every day than we get the chance over here!
So you think you want to drive the 'Ring Seeing the Bug reminded me that when I was over there both times that Polizi had these cute little Green and White Bugs as Police cars, but don't try and out run one as a friend found out. they use the flat 6 and 5 speed transaxle from the 914 Porsche!
I saw a few '70 Fiat 850 Sport Coupe's like I used to own! Also over there they don't use safety glass like we do over here!
