Christmas Dinner is just my wife and I so we have a smaller meal just for the two of us.

 

Well, it's Christmas night. With my Son at work and my Daughter back at home on the coast, we went out for Chinese!

I'll be see'n these leftovers for days...

 

Christmas Day Dinner was Brinner! Thought about Chinese but that will have to wait for a couple of more days.

Also make sure the slits are open. Looks like they were not allowing for a moisture buildup within the pastry. You also want to be sure your mushroom layer is very dry to start. I've made 100's of these way back when working at a country club.

Made a nice big batch of a Beef and Mushroom stew yesterday. Came out awesome!

One just cannot visit Texas without going to a BBQ place. Last night a bunch of us went to Hard 8.

 

Devoured a couple home made pulled pork & swiss sammiches, just to get the image of Nathan's F-56 platter out of my mind.

 

Yep, brought back some of the spicy sausage. So fresh it was still warm from the pit when the plane landed.
