"Bacon Onion Gravy" are 3 words that might haunt my dreams until I try to make it...

Edit: Yep. YouTube to the rescue. It's exactly what you would figure... bacon, onion, fat, caramelize, season, flour, cook, stock, cook, yum.

In addition to stock, you can de-glaze with Guinness, or in my case a little apple cider.

My wife spent the weekend at a horse competition with our daughter, just outside of Cleveland...... She's headed back now to Columbus and should arrive around 7:00pm. I'm cooking two rather nice pork tenderloins stuffed with cranberries and a little salt and pepper rolled up with a little sweet butter. Got the potatoes and corn cooking on the stove. I'll pop a loaf of sour dough bread in the oven when she pulls in the driveway. There's a nice bottle of white wine chillin in the refrigerator. For desert, we're having silk chocolate cream pie. Yummy....:D

You keep doing that and Lady Margi might get back at you with some extra starch in your shorts.

I'm single tonight. The wife, daughter and dog are at a horse competition in Cleveland.

Sooooo, it's natural casing dogs on the grill with Frenchies onions and honey BBQ chips and a frosty cold one. Desert will be Ben & Jerry's Vanilla Heath Bar Crunch......:D

Had some Lamb roganjosh, garlic naan, basmati rice and gulab jaman from the place up the road, Bollywood Bistro. SO damned good.

After spending 6 years in Kodiak, AK, my favorite fish are salmon, halibut, flounder & trout.

I'm actually making plans to go back for the 2012 King Crab Festival! YUM!

Have some local heirlooms, Nathan. Now you got me thinking of a good BLT for dinner. . .Grilled Sourdough, Thick cut Apple Wood Smoked Bacon, Thick Sliced 'Mater, Boston Bib Lettuce, Gruyere, and a Runny Egg. Best BLT ever.
