Went down the hill for lunch to my favorite Thai place, less that a mile round trip.

Yellow Curry with Shrimp and Tom Yum 3 Mushroom soup.

Casey's Shrimp on fried rice looks very good and simple.

Looks like you did a great job CD. I agree with you too. Way too much hassle to prepare for one. The best that I've found within driving range of me is the Korean Super Market. About 70 miles away. Now you've got me craving some Korean food.

There is a place less than five miles from me that makes bibimbap, and it is good. If I go down into the Korean part of Dallas, there are Korean BBQ places every 100 yards. That's about 30 minutes away, in light traffic. I really like Korean food, except kimchi.

My understanding is that you breathe it at first, and burp it later, and then sweat it even later. If you eat a lot of garlic, the same thing happens.

Capital Grill has excellent steaks and sides. Not cheap, for sure, but a good date-night splurge.

You keep this up CD and you're gonna be made an honorary citizen of CA. I thought there was a state code requiring any burger sold in TX to have minimum 50% beef content.

I am still a committed carnivore, well actually an omnivore. I just had to try this burger. I had to know if this thing was as good as what people all over TV and the interwebs said it was. Science!

I had never heard of Liberty Burger so I looked them and found that the meatless burger place is only located in beef country. These are strange times we live in.

Liberty Burger is a DFW chain -- with one location in Jackson, WY.

The Impossible Burger patty is popping up all over the country, a little at a time. Impossible Foods makes the meatless "meat," and restaurants cook it as they wish. A guy I know online is a vegetarian for health reasons, and he had a meatball sandwich made with the Impossible burger... Um, stuff. He loved it.

Processed non-organic meat and no avocado or sprouts. I'm covered on the CA thing. :)

I cooked up a bone-in pork loin chop last night, sous vide and seared. My sous chef, Green Giant, made some cheesy rice with broccoli to go along with my chop. Sous vide cooking is perfect for lean cuts of pork. Really tender and juicy.
