My parents are showing up today at 3:00 for New Years Dinner....
Working on a big pot of ribs and kraut, to celebrate the new year....
Picked up 3 racks of smoked baby back ribs from Thurn's, and those babies will be cold marinating in german sauerkraut infused with white wine for about 4 hours until it's time to get them cooking. Gonna have them with a big batch of mashed potatoes and a french baguette from Panera's (if they are open today????).

Glad to help. One has to have all the traditional good luck foods on hand to start out the new year properly. Can't take any chances with MOTD right around the corner. :D

Parmesan encrusted pork chops (cut two inches thick from a pork tenderloin), black eyed peas, sauerkraut and baked potato. Two (scratch made) pecan pies are in the fridge and a loaf of bread is baking in the bread maker (yes, I have one and I'm not afraid to use it). :D

    Best cheap soup """EVER"""

package of Ramen chicken noodle soup 12 cents at Publix/ or /Walmart

box of Progresso Tuscany Broth (Chicken broth) has thyme, rosemary & basil in it to enhance the flavor. No MSG and 100% natural. $2.00 at Publix/Walmart.

One boneless chicken breast is about $1.50 or $1.75 depending on weight.

    Recipe:
Cook and dice up the chicken breast.

    Boil two cups of water

After the water comes to a boil you can add 3/4 cups of the chicken broth.

When the water boils again you add the noodles and diced up chicken and cook only three minutes.

After three minutes you add in the small chicken powder from the ramen package.

Stir it up and eat the best cheap soup "EVER" for about $3.00 in about three minutes.

And you will still have plenty of Progresso tuscany broth left for the next time.

I just made myself hungry so I gotta go cook some soup.
