I just clicked on this as my wife,Olga, walked up behind me. She said, "What's that!?" I said, "It says Chickin and Waffle." She said, "Oh that's just AWFUL!, Who would put chicken on a waffle with powdered sugar!? YUCK!" She has very particular ideas about what food goes with what and I guess that chicken and waffles isn't it. Dave
Yeah.... And to think you can eat snails.... To each their own I guess... Chicken and Waffels are big out in L.A.....
"Date Nite" tonight with my wife was at the Indian Oven, one of my favorite places for Indian cuisine..... Had their shrimps special and a side order of nan filled with rasins and coconut and an ice cold Kingfisher beer..... :beer Quite yummy....
I've always wanted a cast iron skillet, so for my birthday my wife got me one.... Nothing special... Worked out to something like $20.00 with a coupon at Bed Bath and Beyond... A 12" size... I seasoned it in the oven at 300F for an hour this past weekend with vegetable oil.... Went to the North Market today and picked up 5 free range boneless chickin breasts..... These babies are cooking up real nice... Much better than any of those non stick teflon skillets....:drool
They are great! I got one last year and then I got about 5 more different sizes from my fathers house. Love them, you get a good workout cooking with them!
We have several, I seasoned our favorite (10" inch) over a camp fire during a camp out in 1976. The best ever even heat, great for corn bread too.
I still have the iron skillets my mother used when I was a kid It all I use. The little 6" is the best. Throw a sprinkle of flour in the pan to fry eggs. It helps when the pan isn't seasoned well
On the way to Cleveland for my daughter's graduation.... Having lunch at the Belleville Der Dutchman"... Their chickin was calling to me....
I bought some Nutella, 'cause I'd heard good things about it. The jar is still in my fridge with one scoop out of it, it is too sweet for my tastes.:frown5: Dave
