First tried that stuff in Europe, when stationed there in '74 and that is the only place you could get it. Now it and many other things, are being imported here, but it is NOT the same. The FDA makes them change it before they will let it in the country. Jim

Was planing to hit Ray Ray's Hog Pit today... Didn't make the trip... But... There is always tomorrow... Brisket day... Just drove the MINI to "Dirty Frank's" downtown... I got two "Chicago Dogs" with Tater Tots... The wife got two "Chili Dogs" with fries... Yummy...
Today..... Ray Ray's Hog Pit Today we hit Ray Ray's and had some grass fed BBQ brisket sammiches.... Baked beens, coleslaw, Mac & cheese and collard greens... Some good eating.... Birch beer had cane sugar, not that other stuff...:drool My foodie guard dog...
It's 90 plus with high humidity today so I am chilling in the AC with homemade grill cheese, chips and NASCAR from Dover. Round and round they go who blows up or crashes next nobody knows.
Took the MINI down to German Village and stopped at Katzinger's... The wife and I both had #31.... Corned beef and pastrami over slaw and thousand island dressing on rye bread... One dill and one garlic pickle.. Tasty.... Just tasty... Sat outside and people watched...

Oy vay, that is not a Reuben boychik... A proper Reuben is composed of corned beef, swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Russian Dressing (aka 1000 Island) on rye. The proper way to construct such a sandwich is to brush melted butter on one side of the rye bread. Place it butted side down on a flat top grill. Then layer on the dressing, corned beef, sauerkraut and swiss. Cover with a lid. Heat till cheese melts and Rye is nicely grilled. Run under the broiler to brown cheese.
