I'm sure a large cash donation to the Beat Ash Boring Beetle Lackadaisical Elitists (BATTLE) would solve the issue.

 

Hey Paul your heart was in the right place if not your sledge hammer.

 

One of the best ways I saw to defeat the cameras without damaging them was when they went up in Phoenix, roving bands of citizens would put 3m yellow post it notes over the lens!

Effective, and no damage done.

After enough citizen outrage, I'm pretty sure they took them out again. Like others have said, it's just a money grab and not supported by facts that they reduce speeding or accidents. Plus too and also, no one paid their fines, so the monthly rental costs exceeded revenue generated. Civil disobedience for the win!

 

I first saw these cameras in Germany and you did pay the ticket, trust me you did. David In Germany, do they still use them?

That's like the story that a guy got a picture of his car in the mail, running a red light camera and included a ticket for 50 bucks. He send them a picture of a check for $50 bucks. They replied with a picture of handcuffs.

He sent them a check for the full amount the next day.

 

Slightly off the topic- but my co-worker is the only person I know who got a ticket mailed to him for "reckless driving" while on the autobahn

IN THE MAIL?? We were pulled by ARMED German Policemen.. and had to PAY ON THE SPOT!! LOL no arguing with machine guns..lol

Wow, that's impressive! 

 

Back when I lived in Geneva Switz. they had numerous speed cameras around town. The paper listed where they were. The trick was knowing which ones were "on". Got caught a few times... driving along and all of a sudden there's a flash in your rear view mirror! oops! there goes a few francs...

 

The only thing that may come of this is that you just gave the Tenessee Cops and idea to play with! Silence is golden!
