Isn't the 2011 JCW getting a new wing?

The JCW is getting a rear diffuser (see motoringfile). Word is it isn't getting a new wing. Not sure about a (front) splitter.

If this is making it's debut at MOTD, putting two and two together, then the culprit will have more than just a rear wing on display... Hope it debuts here as soon as it's released at MOTD.

Are you referring to Group 4 Motorsports?

You'd think somebody might be able to identify the car to figure out more...

Michigan Plates, R53, Grassroots Motorsports sticker on the roof, etc.

    That's my guess...

I HOPE it's Group 4 Motorsports, because these parts will be functional, not just for bling (but I suppose a number of people will be buying them for the bling factor too--nothing wrong with that, the developer deserves the cash for taking the time to develop this).

Yes, that's a Group 4 car and I do know that the wing will be part of the aero launch package at MOTD8.

Yeah I know what you mean. There will still be some surprises that haven't been spy shot.

Ah, good news! I have my car in pieces at the moment, it's awfully tempting to just do the aero pieces now (took the bumper off to put an aero-grill for the hell of it, decided, what the heck, might as well put Way's brake ducts in while I'm at it, now this rears it head), depending on ease of installation...

I have Way's brake ducts in my JCW bumper and they work really well. They allow me to close up on the Porsches with their Brembos. I'm running the really big TSW front brake kit as well. With 271 crank HP, it's now all down to aero. Last season I picked up 2 seconds on our 1.6 mile track with prototype aero parts. Looking for another 2 seconds once I get the aero package balanced for my car and driving style. The track up here in PA is still green though from the winter.

Very interesting. Looks good, too, quality-wise, IMO. All the stuff I've seen so far is 1st Gen stuff. Are you developing a full array of R56 aero aids, too? Maybe I'll have to wait until MOTD for that answer :D

I've been meaning to start developing functional aero parts out of carbon as a hobby or future side business for a while, now (not necessarily for MINI's), so all this is of great interest to me. I look forward seeing all your parts at MOTD.

Well yes. We'll have R56 cars aero-equipped at MOTD and are planning on our next project, the MINI Coupe.

Good to know--I have the TSW BDM, love it too, but I can't wait to get the ducts in (I'm a little over halfway done, hope to finish up tomorrow).

I'm hoping to get in with Way in May in Indy for a Head/Cam/Tune and boost in HP (currently I have a stock JCW, tuned, 190 WHP), although I'm hoping to top out at 'only' 220-230 WHP--that would be perfect (for me). 271 would more than likely get me into heeps of trouble...:D

Even with what I've got, I'd love to get the car more solid from an aero standpoint. The short tracks aren't that bad, but Road America, with 2 of the three long straights leading into fast sweepers, I'd love to have a little help. Coming uphill on the front straight the front end gets so light, I hold the speedometer at 115-ish, any faster and it gets a little spooky...

I know we can help with that. With those long straightaways we are generating a whole bunch of downforce front and rear without sacrificing speed. We are using our technology to reduce drag on the car and use the improved airflow for increased downforce. You'll have more confidence at high speed cornering and you'll see more rpms in the turns through the apex.
