I believe "after birth" is the correct term and all the problems support this.:lol:

I'm a few days late on this topic, but if you're still under warranty your dealer should replace the logo for you. I have actually had mine replaced twice. The first one the red started coming off after just over a year of having the car. The second one they replaced for me because the service guys noticed how loose the logo was on the grill. The logos they put on the factory JCW's are so cheap compared to the ones they put on the 1st gen kits. If it weren't for the fact that the JCW logo is different from the 1st gen to 2nd gen I would try and track down an original metal one.

Thanks JCWRocket - I have one more warranty visit so I'll definitely ask about this!

Just curious, is the JCW plate plastic or metal? I've got a metal one on mine, but the newer ones are all plastic. BTW, I'm thinking I should clear coat mine as a preventative measure, is there any chance a clear coat could actually damage the paint?

All of the factory JCW ones are cheap plastic. And if you really want to take it off it's not hard. If you pull hard enough you can probably take it off with no tools. It's held with a couple of tiny clips on the back, and it's plastic studs that hold it on.
