If it's still under warranty take it back to the dealer.

Its out of warranty. One problem is she is a little protective of her mini! I told her I would have it fixed and that we need to have the alignment checked. She said "no, I don't want anyone messing with my car". I told her I would take it to the guy that aligns my car he is the best guy I have ever seen. I still get no. Then she said she doesn't want me messing with it! I told her it was ok she could trust me I was a MINI doctor. She was have non of it!

PPG glass sucks.
Get Pilkington glass. -

Dave is spot on regarding Pilkington.
That's what was used on mine when it broke. Understand it is the OEM glass.
I know it varies from state to state, but check your auto insurance policy.
Here in Florida, both front and rear glass is covered with no deductible. Hopefully, it will be the same for you.

Lee find out who the local body shops and dealerships use and trust and that's the glass installer you want to use.

Pilkington FTW. Now to get the car away from your sweetie. Also be there when the glass is replaced. I've had a bad experience in the past when Babs had one replaced while she was at work. A total hack job.
