yep, managing the "and" is tough. Twisties and commuting are not usually synonymous. I have a commute hell as well btw - but it isn't all day every day forever..... Sucks to be ewe and me if we get in that situation forever.....
My kids get a kick out of hearing my exhaust pop when I have sport mode on. According to my 5-year old, the MINI is "tooting." This declaration is usually accompanied by quite a bit of giggling...
Sport button NOT THERE!!!??? HELP! I just bought this and the next day realized the sport button was not there: Before I go crazy, do you guys have any insight in to this? The car is a 2007 S with the the two twin pipes and all the badges........It drives great and does produce the exhaust 'pops' The ASC button makes a big difference in power..... VIN says it is a 2007 I attached a photo
Fun test.... Be in sport mode with a moderate amount of the "go pedal" applied, then reach down and turn off the sport setting.... Instant verification of the different map program... Of course, do this at your own risk (not in the middle of congested traffic)...
Maybe your MINI is an early 2007. The ASC is traction control, it should not effect power unless you are spinning your wheels where it intervenes. I was pretty sure all 2007 & newer MINI's got the DSC nanny as standard. I see you are in France & that may change things. Different countries get different things,
The Sport button is included as standard for an S in the US, but it is an extra cost option in most parts of the world depending on country.
That sounds more like Tesla's "Ludicrous Mode." Check out the red smart-phone in the backseat at the 0:37 mark... [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faV5WBudcbc"]TESLA MODEL S P90D LUDICROUS MODE REACTIONS + AUTOPILOT - YouTube[/ame] CD
On my 2007 CooperS, the button on the right is the "ASC Off" button, like yours. The button on the left is the "Sport" button. The button in the middle is unmarked, so it must be for an optional feature that I don't have. CD
The middle button is to turn off auto start/stop, which was in European R56 but MINI didn't bring to the US.
Sport button or no sport button The more I drive the car the more I love it.!!!! No buyers regret at all. Unlike the US or Canada, where I came from, where 80% of the roads are more or less straight, here in the South of France 80% of the roads are curves and hard curves. My start list: 1. Start button 2. Radio 3. Sport mode button 4. Screw the DSC button, I can't tell the difference. 5. Select "drive" on my superior Aisin automatic transmission. 6. Go!
The sport button makes me feel better about getting an auto. I couldn't pass up the deal of an 08 with only 52k miles, and from a lady I knew spoiled the car. Still SUPER fun!
