Nice, I've always liked those cars. Way back when the earth was still cooling I remember being at a dealer that had a couple of those in both Spyder & coupe variants. Sweet memories.....

    That was great!!! :D

Reminds me of the days when those things ruled IMSA. Good times, wonder if John Paul senior remembers those times fondly?

Great car. I thought it was wrecked a while back; good to see it's still going.

I like the way its looks give the impression it's probably an over the top build but without looking stupid. I could do without the orange bits but taste is relative.

The Spaceballs refs were excellent and seem fitting. "Ludicrous speed, GO!"

    Yeah....
It doesn't exist in this incarnation anymore...

But has been reborn and is even faster as a White RS211.... Except currently getting the engine fixed.... Spun a main bearing due to oiling issues...

    Pretty amazing build though...

Always wanted an Exige but the problem is I could never get in one!!

I asked an owner once what he liked about owning one thinking he would

say handling, etc. No, he said what he really liked is watching a woman

in a skirt trying to get in it. Says it all!

I'm not concerned about getting IN it.... At my age getting OUT of it would be a major task. One I'm willing to deal with though!

Did he say 81 or 82 SC body, that is well done. I imagine it is fun on a Mountain road. :)

Now the E-Type, that dialog say's most about driving in Vintage with a smaller engine, refined racer. Double :)

I remember those days, fun times. They also ran the 505 in the Production class of the SCCA Pro Rally series. Crazy how roly poly all those showroom stock cars were.

They started racing Opel Manta's in SCCA showroom stock. Then the SCCA banned them as being too competitive. After that is was Opel sedans only.
