I was looking up on bing images of the oil filter housing exploded views. I might have unsprang the oil back valve spring or other....As i removed the old oil filter .. I came across a spring about 2 inches long. i do not know if it was from somewhere else, Or where it came from. So far had no issues with engine lights. This occurred last springtime. Does anyone think it came from the oil filter housing ? I could not check with a flash light; Too tight of a space.
Someone gave me an R50 oil filter housing once and I think it had the spring in it down the center of the filter. I don't think my R53 has the spring. I can't seem to find the spring on any of the R50 or R53 diagrams.
