    All,
I have an 05 MCS with about 44K, and have had TSW lowering
    springs on for 10K.
I'd like to put Koni yellows on and am asking for
    opinions.
    ?
    thanks

I have had a couple of club members that have switched out there FSD's to the yellows with the TSW V1 springs and love them more than the FSD's.

I've been running the Koni yellows with the TSW V2 springs for almost 1 year now - it's a great setup - nice ride but handles well when you want to play.

Koni yellows are the way to go. If you ever want to go to a stiffer spring setup, you can send them out to get revalved and run them still.

Good to hear - I like my FSD's, but I'm sure I'll need to replace them at some point... and the yellows sound like the ticket given my evolving preferences and driving style.

Not to hijack this thread, but how do Koni Yellows compare to coilovers?

  10. hey boxcars,

it honestly depends on the person and what theyre looking for. if you're looking for ride height or to slam your car or to get a desired ride height, then coilovers are the way to go. they are adjustable and they significantly increase your car's handling. ride comfort varies with different coilovers too.

but if you just want to lower the car a tad but also improve handling without sacrificing as much ride comfort as coilovers, then springs/shocks are a pretty good option.

and i dont know how koni yellow shocks compare to fully adjustable coilovers lol.
