I have a R56 with automatic transmission. I am considering installing an electronic "Sprint Booster" to my accelerator. The makers of "Sprint Booster" claim that it will eliminate the hesitation that you feel when you punch the accelerator. Has anyone tried this devise? Is it as good as they claim? Thanks for your feedback.
Welcome to M\A. Yes Sprint boosters do work I used to have one for my R53. I have since sold it because I built up my car and my RMW custom tune provides all the power I need now. As for installing it on a MINI it will get rid of the delay and is adjustable.
Yep, it works, for what it does... which is make the actual throttle pedal response more responsive. Does nothing else. My MINI didn't benefit significantly when I tried it, but, like Dave.O, I have an RMW tune that re-maps the throttle response curve along with all the other benefits of the tune. I currently run a Sprint Booster in my BMW 328i, because it had AWFUL throttle response compared to my tuned MINI. Much happier now.
