Yep, it works, for what it does... which is make the actual throttle pedal response more responsive. Does nothing else.
My MINI didn't benefit significantly when I tried it, but, like Dave.O, I have an RMW tune that re-maps the throttle response curve along with all the other benefits of the tune.
I currently run a Sprint Booster in my BMW 328i, because it had AWFUL throttle response compared to my tuned MINI. Much happier now.

Yes Sprint boosters do work I used to have one for my R53. I have since sold it because I built up my car and my RMW custom tune provides all the power I need now.
As for installing it on a MINI it will get rid of the delay and is adjustable. -
