My fiance bought me my mini a few months ago as a wedding present and it is my baby!!! However, two weeks after we got it we had to have it towed to the BMW dealer because it wouldn't start. It was the timing chain. We had that replaced and now we are having issues with it starting again.
Its an 08 Clubman S manual. Yesterday, after getting off work it took a few tries for it to start and then it ran fine. I took it to the car wash and on my way home it said it was over heating... I immediately took it to our shop and turned it off. The fan continued to run for longer than normal however the car wasn't hot. Now it won't start at all:( I love this car... Can anyone help me:confused5:

Welcome to Motoring Alliance. Sorry to hear of the troubles you are having.

I would wonder if they changed the chain guides and tensioner when they did the timing chain. Something I would ask them about.

Also ask them check for any signs of overheating.
