I have a 2010 Clubman s, when I turn the wheel, i hear a knocking sound. When it first started, only happen when turning to the left. Of course over time, now it knocks turning the wheel both directions. What could be the issue and how can it be resloved?

Thanks for the help, have a great day.

Welcome to MA! Is the sound coming from the cabin and a light sound? If so it is probably the plastic covering around the steering column. If lit feels harder, more metallic and you feel it in the steering wheel it could be a worn suspension part. For that I would take it to an alignment shop and have them check it over.
How many miles does your car have on it?

It's hard to say for sure. Sometimes the steering column cover can get a little off and cause some light popping. But at that milage you could have a balljoint or one of your axles could be going bad. The boots on the axles can get ripped and the grease to become dirty then dry up this can cause problems. You would have to look under the car and see if you can find any worn parts. If it has been a while sense you have had the car aligned I would get one done. They should check every thing over when they do it.
