Welcome, thanks for joining Motoring Alliance, the FUN and Friendly MINI Community.
Call your dealer with the last 7 characters of your VIN. It is possible your car is pne of the ones where MINI is fixing the power steering pump issue at no charge.
You can also check with MINI themselves - 866-ASK-MINI.
Here is the thread about MINI extending the power steering pump warranty. http://www.motoringalliance.com/forums/mini-news/18080-mini-extends-power-steering-pump-warranty-1st-gen-models.html#axzz34ShII5QH

Someone has threads mixed up. There is probably a thread on walnut blasting a 2nd gen car that has a steering pump answer in it now.-

Welcome to M/A the FUN Mini site.
A meth kit spraying into intake and washing the back of the valves would fix the problem. Your problem is not the fuel you are using it's the Direct Injection system. The fuel is no-longer washing the valves and is being sprayed directly into the cyclinder. -

Skip the meth for steering issues though -
Hey ThanKs Everyone, I'll call them first thing Monday Morn, hope they will fix my issue.
