How about Stefanie Jr.?
I know a Tanya Jr. and a Kathy Jr.
They are both named after their mothers and though not official, that's what friends call them.

Hahaha....that's true. But if I do end up with a GP someday, and it ends up with more mods than Stefanie, does it then become Stefanie Sr even though it's younger? I feel like there's some sort of Arkansas issue here...-

I love doing it, brother. Get out here to the Sacramento area and do a ride along with me! We will go grab coffee, bust jaywalkers, and do donuts in the patrol car (the physical, lights and siren dust kicking kind, not the proverbial "only food group that matters" kind).-

It should! It spends much of its time stuck in your rear view :cornut: -

Thanks, Crashton! I agree, the lack of grip for the tires does allow the rear to slide out nicely. And the steering response is such that when I do turn the traction control off and allow the car to go into "happy mode", it does it in a very controlled manner. BUT, as you stated, there still needs to be that proper driver's training/experience to keep it from spinning around and kissing a wall or pole or innocent bystander. The price of the car puts it pretty much within reach of the younger crowd on tighter budgets, which would have been awesome for me when I had been in that position. But knowing how I was then, I would have had the car for about 3 weeks before I ruined it somehow. -

I guess now I can't name my Mini GP "Stefanie", unless I go with "Stefanie2", but that's kinda cheesy. So the FR-S is going to have to be a keeper

I agree, Crashton. Although the one that drives the Chili Red Mini is much more fun to be around than my FR-S. -

So I guess I hit a snag today. I mentioned earlier in this thread that one of the problems with the FR-S is its fuel pump. It makes this obnoxious, loud chirping noise very similar to baby birds but noisier. It's actually so noisy that people sitting next to me at stoplights sit there wondering what in the world is going on under my hood (bonnet, because I'm proper like that). I had a new fuel pump installed at the Toyota dealer ($2000 in parts, according to the service writer, none of which came from my account), but within two days the chirping continued, if not louder.
I took the car in today to hopefully get the problem fixed once and for all, and Toyota's answer was to wrap the fuel pump in sound deadening material. But there's still a chirp. Here's the thing: if I drove off the lot and the sound was there, I would accept it as just part of the car, and look for ways to quiet it down. But it didn't start making this noise until about 3 months after I took delivery. And I have heard many others with the same issue. And with the install of the new fuel pump last time (in June), it ran flawlessly for about 2 days before the sound came back, only stronger this time.
I am going to be in contact with Subaru to see if there's anything for the BRZ, since the motors themselves are identical save for some brand stamping on the intake plenum. But if I don't start getting some viable and helpful answers, I may just begin my search for a Mini and kick it to the curb. Frustrating!! -

Are they still having issues with the fuel injector seals.... Or have those problems been fixed?

Toyota/Subaru have a technical service bulletin that reads the only fix they have for it is to basically wrap the pump with sound deadening material. The seals issue itself has been fixed, but the chirping comes from the pump (contacts, according to Toyota) and has no real fix (which I find annoying and...well...stupid).

Lol...I don't think a Mini is in the cards for me anymore. Now that I'm a single dad with 3 crib midgets, I have to have something a bit bigger...
