What a freakin joke... It should say "This Stig probably to be no more...." There will probably be another, or whatever. They do need a hotshoe to drive the cars to give a constant for thier lap times. Anonymous or not. Matt
Yep, they'll find a way to creatively kill him off ( I vote for a low speed crash in a Tata Nano), and replace him with a new one. Next Stig will be red.
I hear that The Stig is going to be testing a Morris Marina, lets hope the helicopter piano removal company next to the track doesn't drop yet another one.
I like this scenerio: a head-on crash on the Top Gear track between a Nano Tato, driven slowly by James May, and The Stig, driving the Morris Marina; The Stig would then dramatically get out of the Marina as it burst into a fireball, fists in the air in triumph, only to then have the helicopter piano removal company drop a Steinway on him...A fitting end.
If I remember correctly, they outed the STIG on the show and even interviewed him. Why would they axe him after outing him themselves?
I know the point is that he is supposed to be a mysterious tame racing driver, but I don't care if everyone knows who he is outside of Top Gear. The show should shrug it off and continue with him. I'd still enjoy the 'some say...' jokes and most definitely, the guy's driving. They should keep him on. If they must off him, they should do some kind of Top Gear foolery and 'clone' him. Then the original is killed by something. So The Stig will still be in a white suit. He can't be in any other color and still be The Stig.
May a BRG suit would be appropriate for TG. I'd like to see how they kill him off. the aircraft carrier was a good one for Stig v1
I could not disagree with this with more vehemence than a one legged man in a bicycle race. It's like KISS when they took the makup off. Granted, they collectively were on ugly group of individuals, but it doesn't change the fact we all liked them better before we knew who they were...
The Stig is no mere mortal and can not be killed off by conventional means! How do we know the Black Stig is still not driving laps on the sea floor?!? Some say he can turn salt water into petrol... Some say he was conceived in the bowels of a fiery Volcano... You can never Kill the Stig!
So let him go......I am not convinced he was the only one used as the white Stig. Just "kill" him off and clone a new one.
Agree, much to do over nothing. He broke his contract so give him the boot and hire another good driver who needs the bucks to be the stig. It'll be the rise of the "SILVER STIG" !!!! [Star Wars theme song should be played here for effect]
Who really didn't know he was The Stig? Ben Collins has been the "known" STIG for years. It has been all over the internet for years. Its 2010 people, you could have just Googled it. Let me google that for you :idea::devil:
