    RECOVERED!!!

The MINI stolen from our parking lot was found Saturday AM 4 blocks away in a car wash parking lot. The Thief checked it in for a wash and walked away....it traveled only 20 miles total and was unharmed. The owner picked it up Saturday evening and all is well! Thanks for your thoughts and help!

I would share, but California is a long way off and I don't think it's going to show up in Maryland. You know they used to hang horse thieves, to bad they still don't, I consider our cars as horse replacements. Some find the practice repulsive, I think it's fitting.
Oh and plea bargaining is repulsive to the victims of car theft or any other crime I can think of.
Yeah, I'm a hater of car thieves.

Now we know why Eric won't finish it... he can't let it be seen in public.

Sorry for posting so many photos of it recently, I had no idea!

Glad it was recovered, but who steals a car just to wash it?

A skeptic would think that someone played a practical joke.

    Glad I'm not a skeptic. :)

I'm a car thief. I find a nice Mini (in a parking lot full of other Minis). I take it and drive it around. I don't go easy on the gas, because why would I? It's not mine. I drive it about 10 miles out and what would make me want to turn around and drive it back near where I originally got it from? Also, why would I spend any money to wash it?

    Yeah, I'm a bit of a skeptic.

You guys can have your Lojack. I handled automobile insurance claims for 25 years and even for "just a joy-ride" a car can get trashed so bad that it will never be the same again. If mine is ever stolen the last thing I want is for it to be found and returned to me.
