I don't have them, but I've installed them on other MINIs. Much better than HPS in stopping performance and resistance to fade. Dusting is almost near OEM levels though. The price is really good.

Agreed with Keith.
I have them and i like them. I thought I posted a review but it might have been on the other site.
I hated HPS on a previous car. Made OEM subaru brakes feel even worse, which takes some effort. Horrible feel and they faded very easily.
Stoptechs do still dust a little bit, not quite as bad as OEM, but OEM was pretty bad. They're lasting a pretty good while too.
Good feel, cheap, decent fade resistance (haven't tracked them). I'll get them again.

Another great alternative is the Cool carbon pads from Bavarian Auto. I replaced my horrible Hawk pads with these and I have to say these are some of the best pads I have ever run. I have had them on for just about a year and I love them. Lots of twisties with no fade and very good modulation.
Which reminds me I need to do a review of these...... -
Thanks I've been wondering about those for a long time but haven't been able to find anyone that has run them. Look forward to your review!!!
....and yes the Hawk HPS sucks in my opinion for anything much more than driving to work and back. Actually like the Hawk performance ceramics that is on the wife's BMW better.... I'll actually make someone a deal on a set of 80% fronts that fit JCW or R56.... -

Here's my review of the Hawk HPS pads: they were $55 for my front BBK and $81 for the rears. And they slow the car every time I use the pedal. End of review.

Front Rotors are 0.82 and 0.83 inch and with grooves and will have to be resurfaced. Car has only 34,000 kms as it is only used 6 months/year but with fast street service.
What's the minimum tolerance for the OEM rotor?
What's the best perf. per $ OE replacement in the aftermarket?
Tks. -

My vote is for Centric rotors. Very cheap, decent quality. Brembo blanks are pretty good, too.
