I've run the stoptech pad and the hawk hps and I liked the hawk pads better. The stoptech were good on fade resistance but initial bit was lacking and a lot more leg was required. The hawk pads you listed, hp plus, should be even better for hard driving than the hps.
Depending on what your after you might want to take a look at the akebono pads. I'm running them now with an R56 brake upgrade and I think they are great.
Naturally I'll recommend doing a step 1 or 2 R56 brake upgrade. Step 1 R56 calipers with the justa bracket and stock size rotors. Step 2 R56 calipers with the S and R56 size rotors. You'll need R56 brake lines.
If you don't do the upgrade at least change the lines. My car is an '05 with only 45k mi and the lines were deteriorating and caused a soft peddle. I went with stoptech braided lines. But Detroit Tuned has all 4 at a better price. I didn't know that at the time. Finally some good high temp fluid.

I'm running R56S calipers in the front and stock R53 calipers in the rear with Stoptech street performance pads all around on Pagid rotors.
Very happy so far. I'll let you know what I think when I get back from the Dragon in 3 weeks. -

Depending on what your after you might want to take a look at the akebono pads. -

What is the general street/autoX pads people like? I know this is a R53 section, but if we're talking about my stock brakes then....

Since I never offered an update after my trip to MOTD...
The Stoptech pads meet my approval. Never once did I experience squeal, fade, or anything unsavory. Very impressed. -
I ran both StopTech and hawk pads on my track cars, and was happy with both of them. I can't say that I have a preference.
I also used hawk pads on my street Audis. Good stopping, but more than that, no squeal. Maybe it was the Dallas heat, but my Audi factory pads sang soprano.

thought I woudl update, hawk hp+ on the autocross car both ends, pretty aggressive bite but I like that for autocross, still squeaking bad.
EBC yellows on the STX/track car, not as much bite but I like that for the the track, I have brake ducting and was hoping these would cut it has they are half the price of carbotech xp10 or the hawk DCT xx but I still smelled pad on the big straight at NCCAR at the end of the session so I think I was overheating them at the end.
anyone care to suggest pads for dedicated track use? I think I'm gonna try the maxxis RC-1 slicks so I need to get some pads that match up to those. I'm going to my autocross re71r for the rain and the rc-1 for dry -
here is what the pads looked like, quite a bit of deposits on the rotors too but the stopped smooth and hard
