OK...OVER 2 feet of snow....about 9 am now, storm should "taper" about 1 pm.....all along i-495 from Worcester MA then up 93 to NH is the "bullseye"...
Drifts are up to the bottom of the no parking signs in the streets....
Still fluffy...but 30 mph winds... Gusts a bit more...

Yeah but you are in the Real New England and not Baltimore, DC, Philly, NJ or NYC so its a typical NE Winter storm. (Right)

You win this week's snow contest, Zippy. New York is no longer the center of the universe, so the CNN satellite trucks and hyperventilating talking heads should be headed your way soon. (Even Anderson Cooper admitted to only getting 6 inches last night...)

    Stay safe!

It was a fun day driving to work but I do question some of the plough drivers. One came straight at me so I had to drive into deep snow to avoid him, resulting in me stuck for a few minutes...aaaarrrgggggghhhh. Work closed at 12:30 which was good because I barely made it up a hill getting home. What was interesting was several 4x4's stuck as I drove by in the Accent which is not noted for its off road performance. Now I'm home drinking a brandy cocktail, just warm me up..LOL

    Yeah...funny this am...
They were encouraging everybody to use public transportation....about 430 the news reports came out that trains were getting stuck, and folks should find "alternate " ways to get home since delays were "extremely excessive"!!!
Me...I was off today...so got lucky...
But going on another 14 inches or so (sure wish it was less so I could insert a Ron Jeremy joke )....
And the city of BOSTON finely woke up to reality...
And changed the patriots homecoming victory parade to Wednesday AM from Tuesday AM....

Well it's finally supposed to storm (rain) out here this weekend. It was supposed to start tonight and be heavy, up to 1.5 inches, with lots of wind. Now, the weather folks are pointing to the map and saying there's lots of dry areas in between the "rainy" spots. I'm gonna interpret that as NO RAIN in those areas... Geeze, talk about job security!

    Looks like a good choice!

Hope the power stays on. Are you prone to storm-aided power outages in your area?

I sold up and lease a place with modern underground power supplies so I hope I have power. Now I sit and watch the complex staff doing the digging/snow removal. LOL Yes I was thinking they are making a big deal out of this as the storm is the only news worthy subject right now. Beats the deflated ball issue news.

    Anyone else in the storm?

doomed we are all doomed.....the end of the East coast is nigh. No need to focus on rebuilding the Mini in 2015. It was nice to know you all, You will find me under my Triumph motorbike under 20 fet of snow. Even my tears have frozen but the beer is cold.
