I've heard this jingle noise from over too my head since I got the red head in March this year. I finally got the time to replace the sagging headliner yesterday and found the culprit....

This little gem was hanging from a stamped hole above the drivers door. The headliner had never been out of the car, how did the original owner not go insane for the first 100K miles?

I assume it's a factory assembly fixture of some kind.

Wow - perhaps your car was a Christmas tree ornament in its previous life. :eek6:

At one time most of the rattle and strange noises in new cars were extra screws and sometimes tools left inside body panels.
I have even heard of assembly line workers leaving soda cans and even lunch wrappers inside of a car body.

LMAO! I worked in K-town and I can totally picture that being worn by a tech!

this was sealed up inside my transmission... came out the first time I drained it. The spirit of British Leyland / Lucas is alive and well.

I did find a panel puller tool inside a guys MINI rear quarter panel once below his passengerside tail light. His car was never at a body shop and it was not a used car. :confused5:
