:cornut:I just edited my bad post out. I wish that you could work this same magic on the 'MC2 magazine out of business' thread. I've tried and others have also but no luck yet.

Not a bad idea. I'll have to ponder this a bit.

Or just duct tape up that one side...

Attach some lightly oiled air filter material under each vent. The air will still flow and the water won't enter. Just like an air filter.

^^^ Could be, we have had loads of rain the past couple of weeks.

Maybe a spray down of electrical components with WD 40 would help??

Car is running again. Jump start got it going. As soon as the cables were connected the high speed fan started running again. Pulled the relay and started the car.

Ran it over to Best Motor Werks where we dug around looking for water. There was none in under hood fuse block that we could see. However the bundle of wires under the brake booster are wet. Going to give it a few days to dry out.

Also ran by the dealer, MAG, and had a chat with the service manager looking for ideas. He recommended I block off the louvers on that side and see if it happens again next time it rains.

What about some magnetic strips to cover the louvers, either under the bonnet or above it when it rains...We have been having major storms here almost every day , seems like water is getting into everything....maybe with a cool M/A logo?..

Nathan is there a way to make a gutter under the louvers that could channel the water to a safe place and still let hot air out?

No way I'm not touching that post with a ten foot pole. Or for that matter WD40 and a banana. :biggrin5::biggrin5:

Where did you find a picture of me? I'm sure I'll feel better when I get home.:D:D

I dont know how much room there is to do it. But making a gutter from sheet metal would be fairly easy. Then you could use JB Weld to attach it to the underside of the hood.

If you go with the tape I would use aluminum speed tape. Would be surprised what they use it on to fix aircraft. Its sold at hardware stores.

Duck tape is cheap so use some and tape a plastic or magnetic sheet the size of a mouse pad over the drivers side louvers.

I mean heck the R56's have non functioning scoops so you can have one too.

:cornut: Mine is functional DaveO. I drilled it out. Mechanical type friends tell me that that is why my CAI functions well and why my bonnet scoop has never melted or warped.
