I justa use the muscle memory in my arthritic wrist. :D Use a 3/8 drive ratchet & hold it near the head. Snug is what you need.

I am going with the CravenSpeed strut plates for now, to add some protection against the dreaded mushrooming. When it is time to change the struts, I will add camber plates for even more strength. Thanks for all of your info.

I'll start with the good news.
I ordered a pair of the CravenSpeed strut defender plates from WMW. Way filled the order, sent e-mail confirmation, tracking number, etc. Excellent service.
    Now the bad news.
I am now at the tender mercies of the United States Postal Service!!! The parcel from Way was accepted, and passed thru the sort facility in Atlanta, Ga, on it's way to another sort facility in Grand Rapids, MI. I live in NW Ohio. The next stop on the parcels tour of the Midwest was the Columbus, OH, sort facility. At least it is in the right State. At last check, the parcel has now been processed thru the Toledo, OH, sort facility. Getting closer. :mad2: Hopefully, the plates will be delivered on Friday, or Saturday. Unless, of course, the parcel takes a trip to the Allen Park, MI, facility. Be a shame to cut short it's road trip!!!!

Well.... All I gotta say.... Once you get these installed, these plates are going to take you and your MINI all over the place.... Apparently they can't wait to get you on the road.... You're getting a pretty adventuresome set there... :D

I had the Craven's on my car for 2 years with no issues. I now have the IE camber plates and the Craven STD's have been sold.
