I LOVE trials riding. As an old fart I can only dream of riding like that, and when I do dream of it I usually get woken by my wife who says I kicked her.

My favourite rider is a pro by the name of Ryan Leech. He's a local boy who now also does motivational speaking to teens and others (anti-drug, pro-determination, etc).

That trials riding reminds me of the crap I tried on my bike around Tokyo. The most I could do was a stoppie then balance on the front wheel then turn direction by swinging the rest of the bike and pivoting on the front wheel. Of course I could run down stairs, hop curbs, and wheelie.

I'm really impressed as well with the crazy stuff that Parkour or free-running practitioners do. Some stunts are downright dangerous. And no helmet!

Neat stuff.....

Funny as I was doing alot of the same stufff 30 years ago on my BMX bike with a front brake. Loved going to the old playgrounds and jumping around the little kids stuff.

 

One of those "look Ma... no (brains...)" moments?
