Has anyone ever figured out how to make the factory armrest lid stay shot? Mine now opens under hard acceleration.
Yup I did. I used epoxy and glued it shut a few years ago. I just use it as an arm rest since the storage is not worth using.
I ripped mine out and replaced it with the Euro armrest years ago. Which I just took out and am now rest-less.
Yes....remove it and learn to lean to the left (left side of the car, not left politically for Gods sake!)
I have the euro one... But my suggestion is to use a bit of 3m medical tape....super thin felt like stuff...will help it bind just enough to stop it from moving (have used it on non mini stuff that looses up from wear...good temp fix...reapply as it wears.....the same stuff works as great anto -squekk and rattle tape on edges that touch.....
I thought it was just mine that did that. I thought I broke it when I installed it. It was one of the first mods I did. Now I don't feel so bad. Just have to figure out a way to keep the thing closed.
Ecs tuning sells a replacement for about 60 bucks. I installed one this spring, so no long term data available yet, however, I don't expect a miracle. I'll just treat it better than the previous one.
Not with the N18. And it's none of your business (although I understand your compulsion to know) where I keep my nuts. :ihih:
