    Kenny,

If you are interested and are going to the Dragon, we will have a ton of Cup Holders that you can take a look at. Ours are injection molded and are very strong and sturdy, the holder will hold up to a 32 oz drink, and has a rubber ring inside that will keep your drink secure. The Cup Holder itself stays in place, and won't sway on you. ;)

    I wouldnt say useless...

They are a good conversation starter with new people, normally starting with: WTF is that?

Kenny I have a couple OEM ones floating around the garage somewhere, if its a missing or broken piece, I'll see if I've got what you need. We need pictures though, they make life so much easier

I just replaced mine (9 years old with a piece that broke) with a whole new kit. I cannot picture what you are saying but I'll guess that you are just assembling it wrong. A pic would help.

I think the metal piece might be slightly misshaped. It should provide a spring loaded action where the ends clamp quite firmly onto the vertical plastic bracket. I suggest that you squeeze the ends closer together, then try again. You should have to pull them apart with some force while inserting the rods into the bracket.

Just be careful with a full drink and making turns because if it spills it goes all over your radio/AC controls etc..

Exactly. Holds my iPhone 6 plus just fine.

I like the look of it. Gravel roads and trucks, had taught me to always use a self closing travel mug! No spills here!
