You'd have to be really into MINI racing or vintage club to want to invest in a MINI classic I think. I'm not saying that's a bad thing by any means. But it's not for everyone. Not only classic cars are hit and miss, but it will cost a lot more then the initial investments due to the possible rarity of parts available and constant care it will require. Safety, comfort, and amenities are a better choice for most everyday car.
Now if you're a super fan and dedicated vintage driver. the experience must be definitely worse it I'm sure.
It is not worse it for every day driving imo vs newer models unless you get really lucky with its condition. In today's market that's less an less likely. All you rely on is place and time. Its hard to bet on that.

I guess in the end I would sell mine but I would build a custom one off classic.

I would let me 07 R56 S go for the right Classic, but then I would go right out and by another new MINI. Oh well!
I think the Countryman is a keeper for a few more years, if it remains reliable.

If I win the lottery, I will be contacting MINI to see if I can place an order for a MINI Limo as my second car.:biggrin5: with a disco ball that changes colors of course.
