Not near a computer to confirm, but seem to recall that Michelin Pilot Super Sports were less expensive the last time I priced tires. I do know that the Michelins have a 30K mile warranty. Don't believe the Dunlops do.

Anybody have any info on the new Bridgestone RE-71R.
Tread looks a bit Direzza-like. Tire Rack is offering them as available in early March.
They come in 205/50/16, 205/55/16, 205/45/17 and 215/45/17 + others.

I've been told by a birdy from the Akron area that they are awesome in the dry, acceptable in the damp and well, "interesting" in the wet. -

Nathan just buy what you know since you made a set of Star Specs last 4 years. I mean that's 2 years longer than me and we both drive about the same amount a year and really push the tires at the Dragon.

If you prioritize dry weather handling over anything else, here is a good summary of the current Extreme Performance Summer Tires.

Direzza ZII vs Direzza ZII Star Spec
I know the Star Spec seems to be better, but it is also more expensive. Im saving about 100 going with the ZII.
How much more significant are the Star Spec. I "might" be doing auto crossing. But i do drive spirited
Opinions? -

ZII are just last years (2014) tire and the Star Spec ZII's are the 2015 version. Not much difference but a little improved grip for an already very good gripping tire.
The original Dunlop Autocross tire was just called "Star Specs" until the ZII's were released 2 years ago.
You can not go wrong with either one. -

Mine is lowered a bit on the TSW V1 springs and look perfect IMO.......:cornut:

Welp, since I didn't need new tires this past summer I'll now be looking to spring to replace the summer tires. We'll see what's on the market come March.

Nathan, kinda a reverse blessing to that statement. Should be some new rubber next spring, perhaps another set of custom wheels.
